Splined holding compartment allows for maximum rotational spin from rifling to the slug - no slipping
Double Chevron for lower recoil curve
Aerodynamic Vortex for added in flight stability and adding back drag
15/16 oz. Pure lead Hammerhead slug for optimum penetration, expansion - no fracturing
Specialized polymer material to withstand temperatures well below 0°C
20 Gauge SPW Load Data
These are loads that can be used with accurate results. We have found IRM SR 4756 is the best powder to use for loading the 20ga SPW.
Cheddite hulls were used and are recommended in loading the following:
Load 1: 23.0 grains of IMR SR 4756 for 1,350 fps velocity
Load 2: 27.0 grains of Blue Dot for 1,500 fps velocity
Load 3: 30.0 grains of IMR SR 4756 for 1,510 fps velocity
Remember: The SPW is to be loaded using a roll crimp.
Important Points
Total ejection weight is 15/16 oz.
Best Accuracy will be achieved if all loaded shells (of same powder charge) be of equal finished length.
Whichever load you choose, remember that the nose of the slug must not protrude beyond the roll crimp of the hull.
Always use straight wall hulls.
